Tips for Submitting a Successful Proposal
-
Remember that your audience are IT professionals who need to stay abreast of
the latest trends, tools, and practices for regulatory compliance in areas
ranging from corporate governance to records management to technical security.
For an overview of the topics that we cover, visit our
Unified Compliance Project (http://www.itcinstitute.com/ucp).
-
Highlight unique or cutting-edge concepts related to technology and management
issues around compliance. Regulations focused on specific vertical industries
are of particular interest to our Members.
-
Provide practical "how to" advice and documented best practices rather than
vague theories or environmental descriptions. Integrate case studies, direct
experience, graphics, and thought exercises into the paper for maximum effect.
-
Avoid sales pitches disguised as papers. We will discard proposals that appear
to be pitches for products, services, or branded technologies or terms.
-
Deliver original material that you or colleagues have not presented at other
major industry shows.
-
Consider submitting more than one paper idea for consideration.
-
Completely fill out the form and provide all the necessary confirmation.
Topics
Articles should focus on either best practices / mistakes to avoid in compliance efforts or
present a case study of a compliance challenge successfully solved. Case
studies must include hard metrics that illustrate solution success. Authors are
encouraged to propose papers and presentations that cover any of the following
pertinent topics. You are also welcome to submit manuscripts on other topics of
interest to compliance and IT managers.
